Construction of the cut and cover two arch tunnel north of Wellington Place, London, circa 1897. Interestingly, the permanent way has been laid, but the tunnel entrance on the left is bricked up and buffer stops have been installed. This section of the London Extension (Contract No.7) was built by J.T. Firbank of London Bridge.
