Girder bridge with brick parapets over the Great Central, at an uncertain location in Leicestershire. The photograph appears to have been taken shortly before the route opened, as the telegraph poles still await their wires, and there is little wear on the rails. The bridge was built to carry a road and the embankment carrying it can be seen climbing up to the bridge on the left. Note the new wooden fencing on either side of the bridge.
